Social Circle

"I'd love to have a go, but..."

How many times have you wanted to get involved in an activity but not known where to start? Now you can do something about it! Why not meet up with like-minded individuals for great nights out, outdoor adventures, events and activities,  sports and much, much more including: pub nights, walking, trips to the theatre, concerts and art galleries, sports and even extreme sports, such as white water rafting, skiing or snowboarding.

Social Circle is a new Manchester group for people in their 20s and 30s plus. Single or married, professional or student, it’s for whoever wants to “break the dull routine”. People who want to have fun, seek adventure, expand their social network and enjoy life to the full!

To meet and mingle with people from many different backgrounds – such as IT professionals, solicitors, sales, retail, engineering, health and public service come along, we meet every Monday, 8pm, at the Slug and Lettuce, Didsbury, and Tuesday, 8pm at La Tasca, Deansgate, City Centre.

It’s all FREE and there is no commitment or membership. We have weekly entertainment with the emphasis on having fun! Save yourself from another date with the pizza delivery boy by coming along, alternatively book onto one of our many events and expand your social event calendar.

What do we get up to?

Watch a clip from one of our Monday nights  here.
There is no compulsory activity that everyone has to do, don't worry! The type of things you’re likely to hear about include:

No-one will be forced into anything: remember we’re all here to enjoy ourselves.

Special info for those nervous about turning up alone: Obviously going by yourself to a venue can be intimidating. But there's no need to worry! We are all very friendly and accommodating, and do our best to welcome newcomers; it is after all one of the primary reasons we are there. Most of our newcomers become regulars, and you can find plenty> of them willing to tell you it was worth taking the plunge!

Here's what a recent newcomer had to say on our messageboard:

“It has been an absolutely brilliant way to make new friends,” said Sarah Forester, 32, a human resources manager. “Despite being incredibly nervous about going on my own, I took the plunge and haven’t looked back! I’ve made some great mates who are completely on my wavelength and we now go out regularly.”
